A familiar flow, with room to think. Aff and Neg sheets follow your spreadsheet’s speech order. Keep each argument on the same row across speeches. Use arrow keys to move between boxes. F2 switches to cursor editing; Escape returns to box navigation. Tab and Shift + Tab also move between boxes. Ctrl + ←/→ switches Aff/Neg flows; Ctrl + ↑/↓ moves up/down the round list. Both wrap around. Ctrl + Shift + Space opens searchable commands with Tab autofill; Ctrl + S exports this round. Enter moves down a row; Enter or Down Arrow on the last row adds a new row. Shift + Enter inserts a newline.

Share PF flow

Create a shared room for this PF round. Anyone with its edit link can change both flows, round details, prep timers, and RFD. Only this round is uploaded. Keep using this room link to reopen it.

Separate cells merge independently. Changes to the same cell use the last saved edit. Live sharing requires an internet connection; the downloaded local HTML stays offline.

New PF round

Which side speaks first? This sets the order of the speech columns and timers for this round.

Review XLSX import

We detected speech columns from your workbook. Check the preview and adjust mappings before importing. Blank rows between arguments stay in place; formatting-only rows and columns are ignored. A first Neg speech labeled 1NC can map to the Aff flow’s 1NR column.

Preview shows the first eight rows; full text is preserved on import. Content above the first argument row is excluded. This adds a new round.

Export this round

XLSX has editable Aff, Neg, and RFD sheets, round details, and paused prep times. Exports omit row indexes and use red text in Neg speech columns. XLSX import detects older layouts and lets you review column mappings. JSON keeps all backup data.

Timer sounds

Bell alerts

On — timer bells are enabled.

Sounds stay in this browser on this device. If a custom sound is unavailable, the original bell is used.

100% is normal volume. Up to 300% boosts quiet sounds; boosting may distort audio.

Your round, at a glance.

Choose LD Mode or PF Mode above the round list. Each mode has its own rounds, and Ctrl + Up/Down cycles only within that list. Existing rounds remain LD rounds. New PF rounds ask whether Aff/Pro or Neg/Con speaks first.

In PF, each case flow starts with that side’s constructive, followed by both sides’ rebuttals, summaries, and final focuses in speaking order. Constructives and rebuttals are 4 minutes, summaries 3 minutes, final focuses 2 minutes, and each crossfire is 3 minutes. PF prep is 3 minutes per team. The speech timer menu follows the chosen speaking order. Print and XLSX/JSON exports retain PF columns, mode, and first speaker. Import review lets you select LD/PF and adjust PF speaking order and column mappings.

In LD, the Aff flow follows 1AC → 1NR → 1AR → 2NR → 2AR, exactly as labeled in your template. The Neg flow follows 1NC → 1AR → 2NR → 2AR.

Use rows for separate arguments and columns for responses. Settings includes Arrow Key Navigation (on by default); turn it off to use arrows as normal cursor keys. PF rounds also have Share PF flow, which creates a live edit link for a second person. Both people should use the same room link. Text wraps and cells can be resized vertically. Your rounds save in this browser. Use Import and Export to choose XLSX for Excel or Google Sheets, or JSON for a full backup. XLSX includes Aff, Neg, and RFD sheets; importing adds a new round. XLSX import detects speech headers and lets you review source sheets, starting rows, and column mappings, including older flows. Exported workbooks omit row indexes and use red text in Neg speech columns. Prep clocks import paused with their exported remaining time.

Arrow keys move between flow boxes by default. Press F2 to use the arrow keys within your text, then Escape to return to box navigation. In navigation mode, Enter moves down a row and creates one at the bottom. Shift + Enter inserts a newline. In edit mode, Enter inserts a newline. Ctrl + Left or Right switches between Aff and Neg flows in either direction. Ctrl + Up or Down moves up or down the round list, wrapping from the first round to the last and back. These shortcuts preserve your box position when flowing and are disabled while a popup is open. Ctrl + Shift + Space opens the command palette: type to search, use Up/Down to select, Tab to autofill, and Enter to run. Ctrl + S exports the current round, including both flows and RFD. In box navigation mode, Enter or Down Arrow at the bottom creates and enters a new row. Use the minus beside a row number to delete that row; hover near its top boundary to insert above, or the last row’s bottom boundary to append. The round list can be minimized with its arrow button. Use Focus for a full-page flow. Round details reveals the resolution and debater fields.

Aff and Neg each have an independent prep bank: four minutes in LD and three minutes in PF. Start or pause prep without changing the speech timer. Prep time is saved with each round and continues if you reload while it is running. When paused, type a new prep time in M:SS format and press Enter or leave the field to save it. The prep reset button restores a bank to its mode’s default. RFD opens judge’s notes that autosave with the round and are included in both XLSX and JSON exports.

The speech timer runs independently of the flow. Pick a speech, start or pause, and reset as needed. A four-strike bell alert sounds when the speech/CX timer or either prep timer reaches zero. Open Settings → Timer sounds or use Toggle timer audio in Commands to mute or enable alerts. The switch displays On or Off, and Test bell lets you check the sound. Settings can store and select local MP3/WAV sounds and adjust alarm volume from 0% to 300%. If a selected sound is missing or unreadable, the original bell plays instead. Custom sounds are stored separately in this browser and are not included in round exports or the downloadable HTML. Your choice is saved; muting also stops an alert already playing. Export before clearing browser data.

Open Settings to choose System, Dark, or Light appearance, set the flow font size, and configure alarm sounds and volume. Theme, font-size, and bell-alert commands are available in the command palette. System follows your device’s theme, and your choice is saved for future visits.
